Work
It has been kind of awesome, being alone for a few days. I really get in touch with junk I love and feelings about all kinds of stuff. Been taking a few photographs that i like. Calling this series "Piles." I really love a gang of things that inadvertently collect and really represent the person who created the pile.
This one I'm calling "Sheath." I'm inspired by a friend of mine, named Melanie Willhide. She's fantastically exquisite.

Frenchie
So,I went out today into MAYHEM. After deciding against the madness, I took a slow trip home, down LaBrea and happened apon a wonderful store called Essence of France. Don't you already want to go? It's an adorable antique store and is filled with totally special things from Europe to... I don't really know. Everything I liked was from France, so that's all that matters. I decided to get nutty and buy this sweet and fabulous chair. It was an amazing deal and the sweet shop owner said it was probably from the 50's. Even if it's not, it's clearly aged, hand painted and upholstered in beautiful fabric. We so desperately need chairs in this house, I can't lose.
Amazingly enough, this weekend, from Overstock.com, I also got this. Dude, we're going to have so many f'ing places to sit.

Is That a Puppy in Your Pants? Or...
I don't know why, but Lula Bell RAN over to my jeans last night, when I changed out of them, and decided to make them her leetle nest. She's so damn pretty, it hurts my fingertips.
So we "adopted" a pack of wolves for the holidays. These are not the actual wolves, but they are actual size... Cause Hula is GIANT.
This is the prettiest cup of java, the world has ever known. I love that nearly every picture I take, of something on my desk, includes my lil Palm. I like it a lot. It gives me the feeling that I'm TCB (that would be Takin' Care o' Biznazz, for those who don't know what phrases Elvis turned into acronyms) when I pull it out at the nail salon... and pretend to talk into it...

Last Minute Addition
Ewik Birfday
Eric turned 28! He's big now! It was a fun day... we had steaks, there was x-box and also, cake + ice cream!
Sesa is lookin at Hula Boo, but she just looked so pretty in this pic, I had to make it just her. it has been a bit since I've done posting and I'm happy to say, I got a complaint! from the gal in the picture that is...
so, I think I've given up on Starbucks. i swear, every time (which is every morning) i start to think... mmm... hot, rich coffee... MUST HAVE... i get my damn Starbucks and i take a sip- hmm... so average. i have been rocking Coffee Bean lately and it's SO MUCH CREAMIER. i get the giant Vanilla Latte (sometimes w/ an extra shot of espresso, simply cause i freaking love that wakey wakey feeling) and i think- WHAT have i been doing, fooling around with anything besides THIS deliciousness??
the other day i had a 7-11 York Peppermint Patty coffee. i was totally skeptical, but it was DEE-LISH! i will say, however, as far as hot coffee, if you HAVE to get the Bucks, go for the white choco mocha latte. i don't like white choco at all, but it doesn't have a thumbs down taste and it's as creamy as i've tasted, there.

Great things!
Big girl harness... Hula-boo had to up-size! We went to a (human) dentist appointment and afterwards... with girls fawning all over Hula-girl, Mister Dentist man said "oh no, her harness is too tight! She must get a bigger one!" So we upgraded. Now it fits over Hula's dresses and well... best of all, her Hula-belly!
Hula + La Franke, sitting in a tree... k-i-s-s-i-n...
We love having friends over!

3 Coffees, 3 Days
So I decided to partake in the holidays this year by consuming new flavors of caffeine drinks. Truly, that's about all I've got in meh. I ran the gamut of Starbucks lattes in this order:
Mint Mocha
Eggnog
Gingerbread
You know, to me, coffee is pretty freaking great, no matter how you pour it. As long as it's sweet, strong(ish) and creamed with something, I'm pretty excited. Sadly, Starbucks hot coffees are kinda just that. Strong-ish coffees, creamed with something and heavily whip creamed (which I always request). Of the three drinks, the eggnog was by far the best. The other two were mild and didn't make me want to smack anyone with glee, while drinking them. I like the whole "Starbucks run" because I get something yummy to eat, along with a pretty, well-made coffee. Plus, Hula Boo gets to eat some of the whipped cream, which is basically as good as it gets for her. She may like it more than chicken.
But I think the deal with Starbucks is- it's kind of like B of A's. They're not the best bank, but they're FRICKIN EVERYWHERE. I load the lil coffee credit card, so I don't even have to have CASH on me, to get my injection. It's easy, fun and you know, I'm pretty sure if I'm in Siberia, I will still be able to get that vanilla latte, just by swiping my little card. that makes me happy.

I gots new blankies
Duuuude. Mom found me some awesome blankies at the 99 Cent Store! Cuddly and warm and yum!
Mom has kind of been bizzy w/ RubyLove and also doing transcriptions. Good for extra $$ and to keep heself afloat while the biz takes off. Slow but steady... She hasn't been cookin up much new. Any new recommended recipes from any of the 3 readears out there?
Auntie Amina suggested this and mom named it:
Sweet and Crunchy Chop-Chop
leafy greens (whatever you like)
chopped tomatoes
chopped cucumbers
chopped pears-
(fresh is best but you can used canned in a pinch)
craisins
shelled pistachios
crumbled feta (or gorgonzola if you don't like feta)
toss with vinaigrette and eat with fork or chopsticks
Mmmm...

Who Will Help me Bake This... Salad?

Tangy, Spicy pasta salad!
Mmm... this one I can't throw out! I've had it for several days and it just seems to keep being yummy!
Pasta shells (or whatever. I like that shape best)
italian vinegarette dressing
chopped grapes
chopped natural almonds
raisins
cubed cheese
chopped pepperonccinis
What's so yummy is the combo of tastes, even though it kind of seems like a mish mash. Tangy, sweet, crunchy, a little spicy. Such a good melange.
Hula says- please give me cheese! I must be come more rotund!

We Like Totally Voted
There was a bunch of so-nice people at our polling place. They helped mom get her papers together and even gived me a sticker, so I didn't feel left out! One dude kept calling me Tinkerbell. I don't mind. Her mom may be a nasty fluff ball, but Tinks is a cutie. And what a wardrobe!
Puppy in the snow.
Mom and I took a tots long walk today. It was SUUUPER HAWT. I started panting on the long walk back and then made this move for about 2 hours:
Walks are fu-un, but wow, this weather! No way! I thought it was November! Cwazy.
