Alison's

One of my girlfriends- Alison, lives in this incredible place.  This is the view from her window.  This always makes me feel like everything is going to be fine.  I really like being with her (and her view!).  She's super strong.

This is her doggy- Macaroni!  He's the most delightful thing.  Don't be confused.  He's not an accessory on this little couch.

Hula and Bunny, blissing out in the sun.

Christmas, Part II (Dogs, Dogs, Dogs!)

Sweet pic of Billie and Amit.

Mmm... raspberry.

Remy!

Crazy pic of Alaska and Hula... I think?

I was using a slow-image-capture function on my camera, for these.

Love this one of Billie!

Spaghetti squash.  I took home leftovers of this and ate every last "noodle."

Yes I yam.

Rebecca is so effortlessly elegant.  One of the most naturally beautiful women I've met.

Christmas, Part I

This is a picture of Rebecca.  She's actually kind of like this, in real life.  Etherial and magical.

The flowers on Rebecca's table.  From Trader Joe's.

A lovely and interesting picture of Alaska.  He looks beautiful here, I think.

This most wonderful, crusty bread w/ bleu cheese, bacon and honey.  Diana made it.

THIS is a snack tray.

Sweet and wonderful cheese plate.

This is what I brought.  A Mexican gazpacho with sour cream and peppers.  And a little tabouli.

Plan B

(The actual video doesn't quite fit on here, so have to get the link.)

The Vans park... it's got $, these riders are some of the best in the world, so the tricks are going to look nearly perfect, BUT, there is so much warmth in this movie.  I can feel it right in the center of my chest.

My favorite is Scheckler's ollie over that deck/railing thing.

Weekend At Kenny's

DVS WEEKEND AT KENNY'S from DVS Shoe Company on Vimeo.

This video... it's just the most perfect thing to watch on a rainy day.  The editing and film quality is so smooth and beautiful.

Kenny Hoyle seems like a really sweet (and creative) dude.  Not to mention, a rad skater.  Solid style.

Two Year Anniversary

Two years ago, on December 14th, I met the dude who is my dude.  We met because he was the filmer for some of the website content, for the site I worked.

We met through text and email.  He seemed so sweet and had a lot of smart and funny things to say.  He intrigued me, because he seemed quite introverted and wise.

On our first date, I picked him up at the skate park (kind of a blind date, because we'd not met face to face!) and we went to this incredible art show, by an artist we both kind of worshiped.  We held hands and kind of... just didn't let go.

Alaska has come a long way.  He was once a skater/video gamer, who was kind of unsure about how to deal with me.  Now... well... now he is this guy...

For our anniversary, he had his own cake testing.  He found this incredible shop by his work and (secretly) sampled cakes.  Told them what I loved most and bought me the most beautiful, thoughtful cake, I've ever seen.  And if anyone reading this, knows me at all, they know I know pastries like I know Chihuahuas!  I am saying, FOR THE RECORD, this was my dream cake.  Dense, double chocolate, fudgy icing, incredible white-chocolate lettering.  Alaska KILLED IT!  He nailed it.

The sweetest, most thoughtful man.  Thank you, my love!  Thank you for helping us become, what we've become!

Veggie and Delish

This photo is untouched, so this is exactly what I ate (a couple of weeks ago).  Cooked spinach, grilled tofu and just the noodles from a packet of ramen.  It kind of ruled!  For flavor, I mixed in some delicious sweet-onion dressing.  This dish is even vegan!

This Litty Piggy

Went to the Goodwill on La Brea yesterday.  Oh my WORD, I found this piggy bank!  AK has all kinds of change laying everywhere (not really, but it's in a pile), so it was perf for me!  Er... uh, I mean- him!  I shined this baby up and filled it with coins.  It's hard to see size perspective.  It's about 6-8" tall.  $2.99!

The Darling-est, Best

My wonderful aunt, who thinks of me constantly, sent me this Christmas ornament, for Chanukkah.  Ironic!  I opened the box and couldn't BELIEVE it.  It is so, so, so cute in person and looks amazing on my jewelry table.  I considered bringing it to work... I want to have the most enjoyment I can, from it!  But... I'm leaving it home.  It's so cute where it is right now.

I love you, Ammy!  I love you so much!  Thank you for the love you fill me with!!!!!!

Money, Yo.

Alaska owed me a little $$$.  When I awoke this morning, this was on my kitchen counter.  Werd.

Anniversary

Ninestar, where Alaska works, is having a crazy sale.  Yesterday I hung out there, to take him home after work and spotted this delightful thing.  Our TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY (hearts!) is coming up, so I asked him to buy this for me!  Good way to get exactly what you want, eh?  It was $4.99!  Down from like... $30?  My word, I love a good deal... almost as much as I love this tank!

Tally Loves Hula

This hilariously came out, like an album cover.  I'd like to use it as a button, which you can grab and post on another site, to link back to my site.  I haven't completely figured out how to do that yet, but I'ma keep trying.  For the record (pun!) Hula put herself in here.  We were visiting family in Seattle and this was what we took her on the plane, in.  MY LORD she's adorable.

Self Portrait Thursday

I've been reading a few, cute blogs lately.  I've come across a "thing" called "Self Portrait Thursday."  I actually took this, to sell these glasses on Etsy.  However, it seems to fit the day, so here we go... my self portrait.

Sinister

This is totally what was on my counter, after a trip to 7-11.  My dude could eat this stuff every day.  At his work, they gave out joke-awards.  His award was for "Gamer Diet."  That is a FACT!

I am not sure who put her this way, but I found Bunny in this fort.  I don't know if she was scheming or just planning a hibernation.  Either way, I let her alone.  She seemed to have it under control.

Treats

I baked.  I often do.  These brownies... I like CRAZY DECADENT ones, but this mix was inexpensive and simple.

I had a bunch of chocolate chips left over from a photo shoot (at work... yes... it was this stop-motion shoot with all of these decorated cake things.  I claimed the leftover bag of chocolate chips) and threw a bunch in there.  You know who loved the brownies the most?  Alaska.  He's not a real sweets person, and they were just right for him.  That makes me happy, because he's usually not into the things I bake, as much as the things I cook.

This is my cute desk.  I like the way it looks, with all of my random things on it.  I can't help but have a billion colors thrown together at once.  It's just what ends up happening over and over in my world.

Plated

I don't know why, but I can't get enough of this plate.  Found it in the Goodwill by my house.  .99cents! Everything it's possible to put in here, I have been.  Then I wash it every day and put it back out on my counter.

The girl at Goodwill was super hyped on one of my tattoos.  She was quiet before I scooched up my sweater sleeve.  Some people just light up, about tattoos.

When it's a woman and they seem sweet, I like when they reach out to touch my arms.  I like when people get excited about things.  Any things.  My puppy's clothes, the pretty weather, yummy food, anything at all.  Other people's excitement is endearing.  It's like a peek into the source of their joy.

I'll go to Goodwill again, next weekend.  I'm looking so forward to what else I might find.
